this headpiece reflects the impact of societal pressure. made from wire, the piece is divided into two parts: the glasses, featuring antennas to resemble a tv, and the cage, decorated with small human figures. everything is concealed except for the eyes, which reveal the wearer’s story of being observed, judged, and retreating into isolation. the title, “observed becomes the observer,” captures the transformation of the wearer from being scrutinized (observed) to watching others from afar (observer).
